Come join a volunteer session at the site! We meet fortnightly on Saturday mornings and are starting to trial meeting on weekday afternoons.
May dates
- 27th May (4pm-5pm): Laying out string for the new beds, checking on the young plants and enjoying the view.
- 30th May (10am-midday): Checking on the young plants, watering, weeding the bark chip paths, preparing more beds for planting.

What to wear
The weather can be very changeable on the Downs so we recommend:
• Weather-appropriate outdoor clothing, a hat and sun cream
• Sturdy, closed-toe footwear
What to bring
• Bring water – in hot weather, it can be helpful to freeze it first and bring it along with you.
• Bring a mug – We’ll have tea and coffee available
Travel
We encourage everyone to walk, cycle or take the bus where possible.
The nearest car park is Castle Hill Car Park on Falmer Road, a short walk from the site.
Facilities
We do not currently have a toilet on site.
